An experimental shadow art sculpture that aims to convey the phenomenon of air pollution in cities. A play between shadow and light grants this artwork a state of flux, insinuating the constant change in cities and the drastic shift into urbanization in the past century. The wire patterns that symbolize the polluted air are inspired by the public Nicaraguan installation Árboles de la vida (Trees of Life) which got destroyed in the 2018 protests. The irony being the tree of life is not a symbol of life anymore but death and chaos, and in this case, pollution, health implications, quality of living, and more...
